Microcurrent FAQ

What is Microcurrent?

Microcurrent is a safe and effective non-invasive technology used in age management facials that utilizes a low level of electricity to stimulate the facial muscles and connective tissues.
Microcurrent facials result in a more lifted, firm, contoured, even toned and hydrated appearance of the skin. Treatments can be enjoyed as a one time facial, or in our New Vitality Series for comprehensive and longer lasting results.

How does Microcurrent work?

Microcurrent is an extremely low level of electricity that mirrors the body’s own natural electrical current. Because this low level of electricity is sub-sensory, treatments are comfortable and completely painless. In fact, many client find the treatment to be incredibly relaxing. Together with technology and proven application techniques, microcurrent technology offers clients a natural and effective solution to healthy, vibrant skin.

From the biochemical side, studies show that microcurrent stimulates the production of Adenosine Triphosphate (Cheng, et al. 1982). ATP is the powerhouse that provides energy for key functions, including protein synthesis which aides in collagen and elastin production.

Eventually some clients may be able to maintain results with quarterly maintenance.
