Co-Owners Michelle and Monet
Mother-Daughter team Michelle and Monet co-own Beauty Poet together. Their combined love of clean skin care, wellness and holistic health led them on the path to business ownership together in the industry they are most passionate about.
With a shared love of making others look and feel uplifted and beautiful, their joy is found in the many radiant clients who find themselves walking through the doors of Beauty Poet for much needed rest and rejuvenation.
Michelle Johnson
When entering Beauty Poet you may be receiving your warm welcome from Michelle. Michelle acts as operational manger as well as a helpful skincare and beauty consultant for our shoppers. When she's not assisting clients in finding the perfect shade of lipstick or the best night cream, she's most likely researching the latest in green beauty and holistic health to make sure Beauty Poet is always on the cutting edge.
Having spent most of her professional life as a graphic designer, creating all things beautiful remained as a steadfast hobby for Michelle until the opportunity to co-own Beauty Poet with her daughter came along. Michelle has managed to synergistically combine her passion for clean beauty and all of the experience from her previous career to create her dream life path here at Beauty Poet.
Monet Bender
"Be your own kind of beautiful." These words are from the heart of Monet and infused into her own practice as a Holistic Facialist. After traveling through Southeast Asia and living in Bali for nearly a year working on her beauty blog, Monet and her husband Luke decided to lay down roots in San Luis Obispo.
Inspired by nature and her spa visits in foreign tropics, Monet has refined her unique approach as an esthetician. She has an incredible knowledge bank of ingredient info and her wish for each client is for them to have a relaxing, effective and rejuvenating experience here at Beauty Poet. Monet truly cares for the inner and outer you and will grace you with her beautiful energy, knowledge in health and beauty and nurturing hands.
As one who loves to cultivate, Monet has created a beautiful home garden and a Pinterest worthy home she shares with her husband and two young boys. She continues to inspire us with her heart-centered treatments and ideas for creating a blissful culture at Beauty Poet.
Greta
Holistic Facialist & Massage Therapist
Beauty Poet was Greta's original brain child before handing the reigns over to Michelle and Monet in 2018.
Greta infuses boundless care, wisdom and intention into each of her treatments. Her care for her clients doesn't end at the treatment room though. Greta is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to supplements, skin care, yoga and posture work and so much more.
Greta is strongly connected to the divine feminine and it is infused in Beauty Poet because of her.
Greta enjoys spending her time in her home sanctuary on the beach with her rescue dog Rex right beside her and riding her dearly loved horse, Luke.
Jordan
Holistic Facialist & Massage Therapist
Jordan exudes joyful beauty and brings her grounding and positive energy into her treatments. Expertly trained in holistic practices, she will work with you to curate the experience you most desire. Jordan's innate ability to perceive where there is tension in the body results in a highly restorative massage which she also incorporates in her deeply healing facials. Jordan enjoys being in nature, backpacking, practicing yoga, chilling with her animals and delicious organic produce from her boyfriend's ranch.
DanÃ
Holistic Facialist
DanÃ's confident touch, friendly demeanor and artful skill will have you feeling well taken care of time after time. Danà combines her passion of helping people achieve their greatest skin as well as connecting to each individual client with ease. Moving on from her busy life and celebrity clientele in LA, Danà and her partner chose to come back to her central coast roots to raise their toddler son.
While she enjoys the SLO life she feels most inspired while traveling and immersing her and her family in new and familiar cultures.
Logan
Holistic Facialist
Logan finds peace and purpose in helping others and giving them the gift of stillness during her incredibly relaxing treatments. Logan was inspired to enter the holistic wellness realm after receiving her first massage and experiencing the tension relief as well as the peace that comes when one is able to fully relax and receive.
In her free time, you can find her basking in the sun (with lots of spf of course!) or painting.
Whitney
Holistic Facialist & Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner
Whitney is an incredibly skillful Facialist, with a passion for microcurrent treatments as well as providing deeply healing and effective services. Her warm presence encourages deep relaxation. Having grown up with one parent rooted in western medicine and one in eastern holistic healing. Whitney's background is a very knowledgable blend of the two philosophies.
A self proclaimed forever-learner Whitney is also currently enrolled in massage school in order to expand her services.
Whitney also has an adventurous spirit, she loves travel and has even cross-country road tripped in a van!
Anika
Holistic Massage Therapist
Anika specializes in intuitive massage, incorporating a variety of modalities and techniques along with a deep understanding of the human body to provide the ultimate healing and nurturing experience catered to each individual client.
She has always loved connecting with others through bodywork and believes strongly in the power of touch to foster peace and wellness.
In her free time Anika enjoys making and teaching ceramics in her beachside home studio in Cayucos.
Katia
Holistic Facialist
KatÃa is a holistic facialist who emphasizes on healing her clients from the inside out with her intuitive approach and caring touch.
After working her first job as a spa receptionist at 16, KatÃa fell in love with skincare and holistic healing and knew it was her life path. Katia is very knowledgeable in organic skin care ingredients and loves to educate her clients on best skin care practices to enhance their home care routines.
Katia looks forward to furthering her education in Reiki and Ayurvedic medicine.
